SmartStart is a one year project that involves training 10 young people in Edinburgh to deliver workshops to youth groups to achieve affordable warmth and better manage their finances. Through this peer-educator approach, SmartStart will support 140 young people (16-24 years old) who would benefit from building life-skills such as knowing how to use their heating and electricity systems efficiently; understanding gas and electricity tariffs; and how to reduce food waste in order to cut costs. The project is already working closely with North Edinburgh Young People’s Forum and Tomorrow’s People.

To book a workshop for you or your group contact our SmartStart advisor or call 0131 539 8574.
