We play a central role in two key initiatives which aim to eradicate fuel poverty in Scotland:
Funded by the Scottish Government, we deliver Home Energy Scotland advice centres in South East Scotland and Highlands and Islands on behalf of Energy Saving Trust.
Home Energy Scotland provides free impartial advice, and operates a freephone helpline: 0808 808 2282.
As part of this service, we help householders to:
Where appropriate, we also work in partnership with public and voluntary agencies to maximise incomes by referring people for pension or benefits checks, and signpost those who wish it to other sources of advice, for example on debt and money problems, household budgeting, food waste prevention and cooking on a budget.
Warmworks Scotland is a joint venture between Changeworks, Energy Saving Trust and Everwarm. Warmworks Scotland delivers Warmer Homes Scotland, a national fuel poverty scheme funded by the Scottish Government.
The scheme aims to help vulnerable, fuel poor and lower income families by providing step-by-step advice on energy efficiency, and start-to-finish support to install improvements such as better insulation, new or repaired heating or domestic renewables, like solar panels.
