Ventilation
If our homes aren’t properly ventilated, we can run into problems with mould and condensation.
To keep our homes fresh and healthy we need to make sure air can move in and out of the building. This is where ventilation comes in. It means stale air can be replaced with fresh air from the outside.
It’s also important to think about ventilation when you’re adding insulation to your home. Insulation has the positive effect of keeping warm air inside your home for longer. This is especially useful in winter. However, it also means we have to think about how we allow fresh air into our homes.
