This year 20 babies and toddlers took part in the Great Cloth Nappy Change 2014 in Edinburgh, 26 April, alongside other real nappy babies around the world. The event was enjoyed by parents, babies and Changeworks’ Real Nappy Volunteers and an amazing variety of colourful real nappies was changed.

A fun time was had by all. Read all about it in Changeworks latest photo blog by Hannah Milne, our Waste Prevention Project Officer and real nappy expert.

While this year the Edinburgh event was five babies short to be included in Guinness World Record attempt, everyone who took part had a great time and waved their flashy pants as part of Real Nappy Week. The numbers are still being counted to see if 2014 will break another World Record. Last year, 31 Edinburgh babes contributed to the 2013 world record of 8,301 babies in the world having their cloth nappy changed simultaneously in 15 different countries worldwide.

The next real nappy event is the monthly Nappuccino on Thursday 29 May from 10-11.30am at Duncan Place Resource Centre in Leith. All parents and their babes welcome!
