Changeworks was awarded a commendation in the VIBES Awards Green Team category in recognition of their environmental accomplishments at the annual awards ceremony recently.
The VIBES (Vision in Business for the Environment of Scotland) Awards is Scotland’s leading environmental awards scheme which recognises and rewards businesses contributing to the country’s sustainable development by taking significant steps to improve or reduce their impact on the environment.
Teresa Bray, Changeworks’s Chief Executive said: “We are delighted to be awarded the VIBES commendation. As a leading environmental charity, Changeworks is committed to reducing our carbon footprint and sustainability is at the heart of what we do. This acknowledges the hard work, creativity and dedication of our Green Team in engaging our staff to put sustainability into practice.”
In a letter to Changeworks, Gillian Bruce, VIBES Chair said: “I am writing to congratulate Changeworks on the commendation in the Green Team Award yesterday. Having personally been involved in the judging I am aware of the great environmental accomplishments of your business.”
This year 32 Scottish businesses were shortlisted from a record number of entries. Each of the finalists underwent a rigorous judging process, including a programme of site visits, to assess their environmental practices. A list of VIBES Award winners is available on the VIBES Awards website.
