Changeworks has been awarded a place on a crucial social housing framework, deepening our ties with the sector and allowing us to provide industry-leading support to housing associations across the country.
Changeworks has been awarded a place on Procurement for Housing (PfH) Scotland’s Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing 2 framework. The framework allows 95 local authorities and housing associations to purchase services and works that support the Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing post-2020 (EESSH2); the Scottish Government’s strategy to encourage landlords to improve the energy efficiency of social housing in Scotland.
The framework will last for four years and covers eight different groups of services to a value of £281m across six regions of Scotland. Changeworks has been at the centre of delivery and innovation within the context of energy efficiency in Scotland for over ten years and will offer consultancy services across all six regions up to the value of £5 million.
These services will include feasibility studies, energy performance certificates, funding consultancy, and energy efficiency modelling and consultancy, and will help housing providers to identify the upgrades needed for their housing stock to comply with EESSH2.
As just 7 per cent of Scotland’s housing association stock currently meets EESSH2 standards, the framework will play a crucial role in enabling social housing providers access to experienced contractors with the right technical expertise to improve energy efficiency in Scotland’s social housing and drive forward the transition to low carbon homes.
