Exploring Clean Heating Options for Social Housing

The Changeworks Connects: Retrofit Realities webinar series is designed to share and deepen sector understanding of the challenges involved in retrofitting Scotland’s housing stock to meet climate, health and fuel poverty goals.

Clean heating promises low CO₂ emissions and a chance to move away from fossil fuels and their volatile prices. However with Government regulation on the horizon, social landlords are grappling with how and when to make the transition, however. The need to reduce fuel poverty, reduce carbon emissions and manage costs can often feel like competing priorities.

This webinar presents insights from research carried out by Changeworks for Fife Council, with the support of Centre for Net Zero High Density Buildings, exploring clean heating options for its housing stock.

The research considers:

  • How technologies match up to a social landlord’s priorities
  • Real-world evidence on in-situ performance and user experience
  • Running costs, how tenant behaviour can affect these and how to reduce tenant’s risks of fuel poverty
  • Recommendations to the council for developing a clean heating strategy
  • Join us to learn more about clean heating options, their pros and cons and how best to target different solutions

This event is free, please register to receive a link to join.
