Rural Scotland is facing a perfect storm of growing challenges: fuel poverty, aging housing stock, climate impacts and constrained supply chains.
This event will discuss the update of our 2023 report ‘A Perfect Storm: Fuel Poverty in Rural Scotland’, which examines how fuel poverty in rural Scotland has changed, which drivers of fuel poverty remain most acute, and what action is needed from the UK and Scottish Governments, local authorities, housing providers and delivery partners.
This webinar will present findings from the report, as well as facilitate a discussion on:
- Reflecting on the scale of fuel poverty and retrofit challenges in rural Scotland
- Exploring gaps in the advice, retrofit and funding ecosystem
- Identifying practical opportunities for collaboration, partnerships and advocacy
- Connecting local expertise and knowledge with national insight, policy and delivery
