Changeworks’ history with EES:ABS

In 2013 Changeworks managed the very first EES:ABS for City of Edinburgh Council, back when the scheme was known as the Home Energy Efficiency Programmes for Scotland (HEEPS). Since then, we’ve managed many more projects for CEC, improving the energy efficiency of thousands of homes across Scotland’s capital with a wide range of decarbonisation measures – from solid wall insulation to solar panels.

Changeworks now delivers EES:ABS for local authorities across Scotland, from the Borders in the south to Moray in the north. As a result, we’ve gained a vast knowledge of Scotland’s varied housing types and the techniques needed to retrofit them.

The very first HEEPS project installed cavity wall and loft insulation in homes with poor energy efficiency. Subsequently, Changeworks has delivered EES:ABS projects for a broad range of energy efficiency measures, from solid wall insulation, to solar panels, to air source heat pumps. Our experience and expertise with such a diverse range of decarbonisation technologies makes us an ideal partner for all types of EES:ABS delivery.
