Changeworks has won the VIBES 2017 Green Team Award in recognition of their environmental accomplishments at the annual awards ceremony today.
The VIBES (Vision in Business for the Environment of Scotland) Awards is Scotland’s leading environmental awards scheme which recognises and rewards businesses contributing to the country’s sustainable development by taking significant steps to improve or reduce their impact on the environment.
Teresa Bray, Chief Executive at Changeworks, said: “We are delighted to have been recognised at this year’s VIBES – Scottish Environment Business Awards. Winning the Green Team Award acknowledges the hard work, creativity and dedication of our Green Team in engaging our staff to put sustainability into practice. As a leading environmental charity, we hope our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and sustainability inspires more organisations to work towards a more sustainable future.”
Gillian Bruce, Chair of the VIBES – Scottish Environment Business Awards, commented: “Sustainable practice is important for our environment but it can also make a big difference to a business’s operations as seen by this year’s finalists.
“The standard of entries has once again been high and it is encouraging to see the different ways and processes businesses are coming up with, both small and large, to reduce their environmental impact.
“The VIBES – Scottish Environment Business Awards are not just about giving recognition to these companies but also to help showcase the steps they are taking to reduce their impact in the hope that many more companies will be inspired to follow in their footsteps and to reap the rewards.”
