The Changeworks Connects – Retrofit Realities webinar series is designed to share and deepen sector understanding of the challenges involved in retrofitting Scotland’s housing stock to meet climate, health and fuel poverty goals.
The non-traditional timber archetype makes up a significant share of housing across Scotland, and includes a large number of sub-types. The variety of timber frame homes built post-WWII and the material’s sensitivity to moisture poses challenges in determining what retrofit options are suitable type by type – as well as at times property by property.
Drawing from Changeworks’ work with social landlords in Scotland to address archetype-specific challenges when developing retrofit plans and strategies, this webinar will spotlight insights from case studies taken from non-traditional timber properties.
