Our leadership team and board is comprised of individuals with a wide range of expertise and experience, from the environmental, social and construction sectors.
This depth of knowledge is vital to Changeworks achieving its strategic goals to support Scotland’s net zero targets.
Josiah Lockhart
Josiah has been Chief Executive of Changeworks since 2022. With over 18 years’ experience in purpose-led business and social enterprise, he has helped shape Scotland’s support landscape for scaling social ventures.
Previously Group CEO of FirstPort, FirstImpact Business, and Impact Investment Partnership, he led the creation of a £15m venture fund and supported thousands of enterprises through key growth stages. Josiah is also a non-executive director at Warmworks and chairs its strategic business development committee.
Josiah’s expertise spans clean energy deployment, fuel poverty reduction, and climate-focused business development. He remains dedicated to mentoring the next generation of climate entrepreneurs advancing a just transition.
Liz Partington
Liz is an experienced leader, people and project manager. Her specialisms include organisational development, building partnerships and managing change.
Liz leads the delivery of our Home Energy Scotland services in the South East and Highlands and Islands, Community Engagement and Energy Advice Services, Consultancy and Retrofit Delivery teams. She also has overall responsibility for HR, Quality & Environment Systems and Internal Communications.
George Drennan-Lang
George has spent his career innovating and developing new service models and securing sustainable income growth for some of the country’s leading social purpose organisations. He has a track record of leading and managing cross-organisational change, developing organisation culture alongside shaping strategic, financial and business plans.
George has overall responsibility for Business Development, Digital and Marketing Communications, Policy and External Affairs alongside our Strategic Development Team who are building our homeowner retrofit service, EcoCosi.
Del Redvers
Del has extensive experience in the sustainability leadership across the private, public and voluntary sectors. He is currently Corporate Affairs Director for BMT, a global science and engineering consultancy. Del has been a member of or advisor to boards in the UK and overseas. A Changeworks‘ Board member since 2017, Del took up the role of Chair of Changeworks‘ Board in May 2020.
Jo O’Hara
Jo runs her own consultancy business and is an international convenor and coach. Previously Chief Executive of Forestry Commission Scotland and Scotland’s Chief Forester, Jo has an extensive career in public sector leadership with particular expertise in sustainable land use, and associated environmental, social and economic aspects.
Her current portfolio includes several non-exec roles, leadership of a trans-European forest habitat restoration project, executive and team coaching, and consultancy for government and community clients in the UK and abroad.
Abi Gardner
Abi is NatureScot’s 30×30 and Nature Networks Project Officer, where she works to ensure that 30% of land in Scotland is protected for nature by 2030. She has a background in ecological and environmental science, particularly ecosystem services. Abi also brings knowledge and skills in youth leadership, campaigning and behavioural change.
Lindsay Scott
Lindsay is an Investment Manager at Walter Scott where she has a particular focus on responsible investing. Over the the last 20 years, Lindsay has worked across geographies and sectors identifying sustainable businesses that consider social and environmental impacts, as well as financial returns. Lindsay is also a Trustee for the National Museums of Scotland Charitable Trust and a member of the Green Angel Syndicate, a network of individuals looking to invest in innovations to fight climate change.
Nicola Walters
Nicola has worked with some of the world’s largest financial services companies and is currently Chief Transformation Officer and Senior Director at Deloitte. With a wealth of experience in bringing people together to overcome what are often thought of as impossible challenges, Nicola is a leader who believes in doing what’s right, not what’s easiest. She has won an Entrepreneur of the Year Award, been a Shell LiveWire finalist and, in 2018, Nicola launched an award-winning company that embraced sustainable practices.
Michael Covington
Michael has over 30 years’ international cross-sector experience in investment, governance, and renewable energy technologies to support the decarbonisation of infrastructure and housing.
He has advised companies including John Menzies plc and Forth Ports plc, a Scottish anti-fuel poverty social enterprise, and assembled a significant portfolio of Scottish windfarms and led a VC investment into ReEnergise which supports schools working towards net zero. Michael is currently Chairman of Getech Group PLC, a geoscience data and geospatial software provider.
Selina Sagayam
Selina is a corporate finance legal practitioner of over 35+ years’ experience now running her own consultancy practice. Previously a partner in two leading international law firms, she established the UK ESG Practice of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher and co-led its global ESG practice. She has extensive experience in corporate governance and an expertise in sustainability related legal and regulatory issues and has advised a range of organisations, entities and stakeholders in this area.
Her current portfolio includes serving as a Non-Executive director of FTSE250 listed Sequoia Economic Infrastructure Income Fund and chair of their ESG & Stakeholder Engagement Committee. She was appointed as the inaugural chair of the ESG Committee of The Renewables Infrastructure Group where she serves as a non-executive director. She has deep experience and commitment to talent and inclusion and has chaired various groups and networks promoting diversity, talent and inclusion. She serves as Vice Chair of the UK’s largest domestic abuse charity, Refuge.
Craig Stirrat
Craig Stirrat is a housing sector leader with over 40 years’ experience in advancing affordable, sustainable homes across local government and housing associations, leading large‑scale projects on energy efficiency, new build and driving organisational growth and strong workplace culture.
As Grampian Group CEO of Grampian Housing Association, Craig provides strategic leadership, with a focus on improving frontline services, providing high quality customer service, alongside ensuring all homes are safe, energy efficient and affordable.
From leading Aberdeen’s Home Energy Conservation Act Strategy in the 1990s to supporting tenants experiencing fuel poverty and driving energy performance improvements across housing stock, he has focused on delivering practical solutions that benefit communities and improve sustainability.
Craig also brings significant governance experience, being a Board member of the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations and previously having served as Chair of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
Angus Flett
Angus Flett is a senior leader in digital infrastructure and energy systems, with experience leading teams at the forefront of the digitisation of the UK energy system and the deployment of in-home energy technologies.
Angus is CEO at Kight and serves as Board Advisor to Critical Software, alongside advising DeepTech Labs. Previously, Angus was CEO of Smart DCC, leading the rollout of the UK’s smart meter programme and supporting energy system digitisation. Earlier roles – including as Managing Director at BT and of Vodafone’s Global Enterprise Products – saw Angus leading on developing large-scale connectivity, customer service telecoms and digital transformation programmes serving millions of customers.
His expertise in smart systems, digital innovation and energy technology will provide valuable insight as Changeworks continues to evolve and adapt to help achieve its mission.
Claire Rampen
Claire Rampen is a climate technology commercialisation and innovation specialist with over 13 years’ experience. Her expertise includes taking low‑carbon solutions from idea to market, across infrastructure and global partnerships. Working across Europe, North America and Latin America, she has supported organisations ranging from start-ups and scale-ups through to international corporates.
Claire founded a circular economy venture, leading it from concept to commercial contracts with global companies. She is currently a PhD researcher at the University of Strathclyde, focusing on supply chain decarbonisation, and as a Principal Consultant at First Matter has worked with initiatives including The Earthshot Prize and the New York Climate Exchange.
Claire’s experience turning innovative climate solutions into real-world impact will strengthen Changeworks’ work to reduce carbon emissions, tackle fuel poverty and support a just transition to net zero.
Alex Kantor
Alex Kantor is a technology leader with over 15 years’ experience building and scaling teams in regulated sectors, including leading delivery, compliance and governance functions in AI, fintech and enterprise environments.
He currently serves as Director of Technology at Kosli, where his team helps enterprise organisations in financial services improve software governance automation – especially in this age of AI. Before joining Kosli, Alex worked for UK payments fintech company Modulr, helping grow its technology function into a large multidisciplinary team covering engineering, security, infrastructure and service delivery. Throughout his career, Alex has developed deep expertise in technology governance, AI and compliance, alongside building high-performing teams.
As Changeworks continues to innovate and strengthen its use of digital tools to increase impact, Alex’s experience will bring valuable insight technology governance, audit and compliance, and scaling teams in high-accountability environments.
Eleanor Bird
Eleanor is a former councillor for Edinburgh’s Forth Ward, where she sat on a number of committees, including the transport and environment committee. Before returning to Scotland, Eleanor spent her twenties working as an actor in London. She holds a 2:1 from the Open University, having studied contemporary politics and sociology.
