The four factors most likely to lead to fuel poverty are low household income, high heating and electricity costs, poor energy efficiency at home and how people use their heating systems and live at home.
As the people most likely to be affected by fuel poverty are disabled people, older people, people on a low income, young families, lone parents and people with health issues, we collaborate with local organisations who are already in touch with these groups, to design and deliver services to meet their needs.
“Changeworks' Affordable Warmth is a really useful service which helps us provide a better service for clients and at a time when energy issues and fuel poverty are increasing. We would anticipate referring more clients in future.”
