Wormeries

Too Good To Waste

What would you like to reduce, reuse, repair or recycle?

Wormeries

Worms can eat their own body weight in waste every day, while turning your food scraps into nutritious compost.

Using a wormery is a great way to reduce the waste you send to landfill. Wormeries can also deal with certain cooked foods, unlike compost bins. The end product, worm compost, is really good as it is full of nutrients, and is sometimes referred to as 'black gold'! Kids love getting involved in looking after a wormery too.

Different kinds and sizes are available and to save money, you can even make your own. Some types are suitable for keeping indoors if you don't have a garden.
