Changeworks was approached by West Lothian Council to help them understand how householders disposed of their waste and recycling so they could make improvements to their waste service. The research project involves running a workshop to understand householder attitudes and behaviours linked to waste and recycling. The workshop, based on the ISM (Individual, Social, Material) model, will help understand factors related to recycling, any barriers and identify actionable steps.
Recommendations from this research will be used to inform the council’s service so that householders can be better supported to recycle their waste.
