Continuing Professional Development in Waste Education for teachers: 2012 With over 20 years of experience in sustainable development project management, Changeworks brings learning to life with our FREE CPD course for teachers. With free resources, practical activities and waste management advice, you will be empowered to make a difference in your school and local community.

Course Title: Talking Rubbish! Activities to Support Waste Awareness

Changeworks offers Continuing Professional Development courses to all staff in Edinburgh involved in waste awareness and recycling projects in school. There are two courses, one for early years practitioners and another for those involved in delivering the curriculum to P1 / P7. The courses are GTCS approved and feature in CPD directories.

On completion of the course participants will have:-

• Increased awareness of the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle concepts
• Improved ability to deliver practical lessons relating to waste education
• Access to high quality waste education teaching resources
• Group discussion and feedback
  
  Programme Outline:

• Changeworks led presentation
• City of Edinburgh Council Presentation (If available) Anita Sharkey the Waste Education Officer from the Waste Services department
• Workshop activities to include paper making, compost in a bottle, wormery display and the 3R’s talk

We also offer an exciting new Free CPD course to Early years centres that can be run in the comfort of your own building and on a date of your choosing!
