Make Waste History in Secondary Schools 2011/12
Changeworks’ Waste Education Service has successfully organised the Make Waste History Summit for the past seven years.
The Summit for 2011 took place on 27 April at the prestigious Napier University Craiglockhart Campus.
Pupils took part in activities to learn the sustainable skills needed to run a business in school and turn enterprising ideas into reality. They learned how to manage, market, finance, evaluate and present their project idea during interactive workshops. At the end of the day, pupils entered the dragons den to pitch their enterprising ideas
for the chance to win £250.
Well done to Liberton High School who won on the day with a fantastic concept as well as a very professional and enjoyable presentation.
This years Summit looks like its going to be even bigger with our hosts Portobello High school helping to plan an exciting day for all. Remember teachers that the workshops you attend on the day count towards your annual CPD requirements!
