Switching project ‘Scots Together’ is here

Householders from all over Scotland will benefit from bulk gas and electricity prices and add their buying power to the Scots Together initiative. And it couldn’t come at a better time.

Scotland’s first collective switching project launches just as energy watchdog OFGEM announces that further gas and electricity price hikes are on the horizon.

Scots Together, a national energy buying group with a local approach, launched on Monday and households have until 17 March to join up.

The initiative brings people together to get a better deal from energy companies by buying their energy collectively. The more people that sign up, the better the deal becomes. It’s not only a free service, it’s also impartial, no obligation and the switching process is easy. People just have to register a few details at Scots Together to see what they could save.

Changeworks Chief Executive Teresa Bray officially launched the initiative at the Princes Mall Shopping Centre on Monday saying “People across Scotland will benefit from getting together, joining forces as a community and supporting each other to get a better deal and save on their gas and electricity bills.

“People are becoming increasingly worried about their rising energy bills and how to heat their homes affordably. Scots Together will help to change that.”

For further information on the initiative or to register visit www.scotstogether.com during the switching period or call free on 0800 408 0155 to speak to a Scots Together advisor. You’ll need a recent energy bill to hand.
