Project Community Partners

Linlithgow Climate Challenge. Formed in 2008, Linlithgow Climate Challenge are a community group based in Linlithgow. We aim to promote awareness of climate change and support local solutions to reduce our town's dependance on fossil fuels and our greenhouse gas emissions. There's a whole lot of foodie activity going on locally, this site also gives links through to Linlithgrow and Slow Food Linlithgow.

Sustaining Dunbar. Sustaining Dunbar is building a creative, low carbon, locally resilient community in East Lothian. It is for everyone living or working in the Dunbar and East Linton ward, and provides a network for people to get together with others who share similar interests and want to work together to build a sustainable community.

Greener Leith. A non-profit group dedicated to making Leith greener in every sense

Sustainable Haddington - an established group made up of volunteers from the Haddington area. What they have in common is a belief that the challenge of climate change and sustainable living can be met by community action.

Transition North Berwick is looking to take forward a wide range of practical, local scale projects to address the related problems of climate change and an over-reliance on oil and other fossil fuels. We believe that working together we can have a positive impact that will ensure a vibrant, low carbon future and a stronger, more resilient community for North Berwick and surrounding areas

Shandon Local Food Group - a growing group of residents in Shandon have been discussing how we can grow and buy food which is more local, seasonal and organic.  We want to see our local shops thrive; we want to  make connections with farmers and producers in the wider region and we want to see gardens , backgreens and common areas flourish with home-grown produce.

Village Green - Climate change is one of the biggest challenges facing us today.  Village Green is a Climate Challenge funded project which aims to help us reduce our carbon footprint.  The project covers the area south of Edinburgh from Howgate to Kirkurd on the A701 and from Silverburn along the A702 to Carlops and all the areas in between.

We are talking to more groups all the time.......
