One thing that is becoming obvious from our conversations is that many people do not feel confident about a variety of kitchen skills. They and we, would like your help on storage, in particular freezing.
On freezing safety, the Food Standards Agency page on safe storage is a good place to start.
On the question of what can be frozen, I found a few good websites: www.storingandfreezing.co.uk is good and I love sites like the "How to freeze unexpected food" page on frugalliving.com, here's an example:
Bananas
Freeze in peel. Then, simply thaw
and peel to use in smoothies and breads. Note: the peel will turn
black, but that won't effect the quality of the banana at all.
I actually quite like to eat them frozen.... bit reminisent of a mini milk!
