![]() |
The signs to watch out for when someone is struggling to keep their home warmThose who cannot afford to heat their homes adequately are said to be in ‘fuel poverty’ and are spending 10% or more of their income on heating and powering their home. The root causes of fuel poverty are high energy costs, poor levels of energy efficiency in the home, and low household income. Find out what impact fuel poverty can have on people's health. |
To help identify if someone may be in fuel poverty there are four key questions you can ask:
- Is your home cold?
- Is your home damp?
- Is your home draughty?
- Are you concerned about being able to afford to use energy in your home?
If the answer is ‘yes’ to any of these, what next?
