There are several ways in which schools can look at minimising the amount of waste which is thrown out daily.
- Firstly, look at the amount of waste produced within the school, is it possible to reduce this?
- If this waste cannot be reduced, can it be reused?
- Finally as a last resort, where waste is being produced, can it be recycled?
The Changeworks Education Team can visit your school to help you reduce waste. Click here for more information.
The City of Edinburgh Council can provide a FREE paper recycling collection service for schools.
Edinburgh schools can check for details of what can be recycled from their school through Services for Communities at The City of Edinburgh Council on 0131 529 3030.
